We went down to Wilmington this weekend. It had been so long since we have been able to get to the beach (the last time B was about 8 weeks old) and we have missed it terribly. As much as we wanted to hit the outer banks we were unsure of the weather for the weekend since they were predicting a chance of storms. We chose to go just for the day and Wilmington is much closer.
We stopped at the aquarium during the hottest part of the day and enjoyed the air conditioning along with the fish and albino alligator. Brandon had a blast and all you could hear from him was "PISH!, PISH!" running from tank to tank. He loved the lobsters and would follow them around their circular tank. Justin loved the alligators and the sting rays. Ryan got to be part of the learning show they had on the albino alligator exhibit that is there now. He was a recessive gene that got mixed with a dominant gene. He ended up being a green alligator. He was having a great time. Sophia hung out in her pouch and took everything in and until she got hungry she was great.
Next stop was Kure beach. We had been there before, long ago and loved how quiet and clean it was. This time we stopped near the main part of the beach so it was busier but still just as nice as we remembered. The boys jumped right in the water and had a blast. B was a little unsure with the waves coming in but once Dave had him "jumping" the waves he was having so much fun. We only stayed about an hour since there was no place to rent an umbrella for Sophia. We made a makeshift hut for her with her car seat for shade. Still she wanted to be out and stretching so I brought her down to the water for awhile. She was enthralled with the movement and sound of the water.
After our long day we drove home and though B and Sophia wanted out of the car something fierce it was well worth the time.

What a great time you guys had. Kids look happy!
