We have been working with Sophia on sleeping. We started after Christmas but things got derailed with the germ infestation we had here. She got so sick that not only did we backtrack we collapsed into a whole dimension of struggling to sleep at all. Poor thing was hurting all around with the stuffy nose and blocked sinuses. Ear infections and conjunctivitis attacked at the same time. Slowly we have been recovering and we have started to process all over again. She is now putting herself to sleep, though she does need to hear my voice every once in a while just for comfort (it's getting less and less though) and she is back up to sleeping three hour stretches. This is short but I think with the recovery from the cold and the uncertainty of me being there at night has brought us here. It will get better and I think it will happen soon.

Sophia loves to climb but with her short little legs she doesn't get to do much of it. This chair ends up being the perfect height for her to climb on and play with. She just loves it.
Sophia has also started walking. She is having a blast with this new found ability and though she can go quite a distance on her own she prefers to hold your hand. The funny thing is unlike the other kids she will con you into holding her to walk. She will reach up as if she wants something or try to hand you something. When your hand is near by she will grab it and start walking. She expects you to follow. There is no getting around it. She will guide you where she wants you to go to. There is no convincing her to go somewhere else. It's so funny to watch
Justin and Ryan both were up for their yellow belts in Karate last week and both passed the test and received them. Wow! It seems as if they just started. Justin is amazing at what he is able to do - I am really impressed. Ryan is so flexible that he teacher is constantly amazed at where he is able to kick. We do need to work with Ryan on getting him to channel his strength and focus it where he wants it.

Ryan getting his yellow belt. He was so excited.

Justin getting his yellow belt. They also got a patch and a certificate.
Brandon was signed up for preschool for September. It is funny to me how we sign them up in February for something that is 7 months away. He is excited about getting to go to school like his big brothers. Lets see if that excitement sticks around when it is time to actually go.

Brandon enjoying the rare snowfall here in N.C. We got two this year!
As for me and any type of projects it hasn't happened. As I said, survival mode. I will get myself back on track and we will start getting things done around here. Until then I will just keep doing what I am doing.

With 4 young kids, you are keeping busy. This all will pass realy quick. Can you imagine your youngest, driving and applying for jobs? That's what Jennifer is up to. It goes fast.......
